James Alvich has more than 18 years experience in advertising, specializing in television, radio, and online commercial production. He began his career as a Producer at Draft FCB, working on top accounts like Verizon, American Express, Compaq and Bank of America. In 2007, James joined BBDO New York as a Senior Producer, managing and producing television and online commercials for Orbitz, AT&T, and Gillette. James oversaw production of commercials both domestically and internationally, and was recognized for his ability to successfully manage client relations while overseeing multi-million dollar productions.
With accomplishments ranging from distinguished awards of excellence to pro bono productions, James decided to step away from the advertising agency world to pursue new professional goals. In January 2011, James married his knowledge of strategic branding and production with his passion for music and opened MAS, a fully integrated one-stop-music-shop.
As Founding Partner and Managing Director at MAS, James oversees new business development, strategic planning and execution of music, and TV production. Since opening its doors, James has successfully built a direct-to-brand division at MAS, forging strong partnerships with high-profile brands including Coach, Kate Spade, Philosophy, American Eagle, and Aerie. Additionally, he has spearheaded successful musically driven social and digital campaigns garnering notable press coverage for his clients.
James has spent his entire professional career developing solid connections with senior level producers, executive creative directors, editorial, production companies houses and music companies. He has been recognized for his ability to identify emerging talent across advertising and music industries, and maintains unsurpassed working relationships across various industries. When James is not working, he volunteers with Fred's Team, a running organization that raises money for cancer research.
